Things to consider when doing housework

If you are struggling to do your housework there are certain things you may want to consider. It is always better to do it yourself even if it takes you longer. Cleaning in stages may make it easier for you to carry out tasks around the home. By doing it yourself you are maintaining your independence and mobility, its also a good form of exercise for you. Remember you are not being timed, you can do it at your own pace and to your own standard.

It is always a good idea to keep motivated and active. If you rely on others too much you could lose valuable skills needed to look after yourself in the future. Try to do as much as you can even when you may need the support of others. When others help you with housework, they may not always do things in the same way that you do. It is important to remember that they are helping you to do a job that you would find difficult to do on your own. It is always good to have help, but you should keep fit by doing as much as you can.
