Living Independently: advice if you or your loved ones are concerned about how you are managing day-to-day

If you or your loved ones are concerned about how you are managing with your day-to-day tasks and routines - things like paying your bills, shopping, getting washed and dressed or doing housework - you may be able to get some help with doing these things. If you need help to get washed, dressed, go to the toilet or get around, with shopping, preparing meals or eating and drinking, keeping yourself safe, or having things to do during the day you should ask for a Social Work assessment. You should contact your local Social Work office if you haven’t already had an assessment and you think you need one. You can contact your local Social Work office by telephoning 01324 506070, or by email. You can find the details of your local social work office by visiting falkirk.gov.uk/places/social-work-offices. If you think changes to your memory are affecting how you are managing, you should speak to your GP.
