Lunch clubs and community food resources

There are a number of food banks, food pantries, community cafes and lunch club where you can get free or low-cost groceries, hot food and socialise with others. The Our Falkirk map provides information about community food provision, warm and safe welcoming spaces, wifi access and more, local to you. For more information and to use the map, visit falkirk.gov.uk/maps-local/our-falkirk.aspx. Snowdrop Cafes are open to all across the Falkirk Council area, taking place in Falkirk, Denny, Polmont and Haggs. If you're interested in coming along, or would even like to enquire how to start up your own Snowdrop Café where you live, get in touch with the Compassionate Community Team via email: fv.compassionatecommunities@nhs.scot. Grangemouth's Talbot Hall hosts a Lunch Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11:30am and 1:30pm. For more information, telephone 01324 483953 or 07858656608. The free Grangemouth Saturday Lunch Club takes place every Saturday, 12pm – 2pm, based within Christ the King Church. The club offers free soup, sandwiches, hot drinks, cakes, and biscuits, is open to anyone in the community, whether they are in need of a meal, a warm space, a little bit of company, or somewhere to meet up with friends. For further information (including soup options each week), please visit the club’s Facebook page, or contact organiser Clare Murray by telephone on 07712580996, or email at clur81@hotmail.co.uk.
