Medication: Problems swallowing medication
If you are having problems swallowing your medication, there may be some techniques you can try to make this easier. The NHS website has more information on techniques to try: nhs.uk/conditions/problems-swallowing-pills. You should also speak to your pharmacist, who can offer advice on any other versions of your medicines that may be available that could be easier for you to take. If you are also having diffiuclty swallowing food and drinks, do not try these techniques as they could cause you to choke. Instead speak to your GP or pharmacist.
