Scottish Association for Mental Health
Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) is Scotland’s national mental health charity, supporting people experiencing mental health problems and promoting positive mental wellbeing across the country. SAMH works to reduce stigma, improve access to support, and influence policy to create better mental health services and outcomes for everyone.
SAMH provides a range of services, including mental health information and advice, peer support, wellbeing coaching, counselling, community-based support, employability services, and suicide prevention resources. The charity also operates The Nook, a network of walk-in mental health support hubs, offering free, barrier-free support without the need for appointments or referrals.
